In Ancient Greece, Katabasis stood for the downfall of mortal men towards the underworld and it represents the descent to a state of sadness and anguish, a plunge to the depths of existence. In Brussels, a countryman in his early thirties arrives home from work after one more day at the office and turns to the television to let off steam. When switching channels, he stumbles upon the latest city news: an explosion at a subway station. The falling has begun. The man and the city are slowly taken over by terror and despair. Fear is more alive than ever. It becomes a sinister entity that spreads across the city and the world like a sickness. There is no happy ending.
