I animated the shots in 1:18, 1:40, 1:42 and 1:50
After Barretos’ Cancer Hospital changed to “Hospital de Amor” (“Hospital of Love”), replacing “cancer” for “love” on its name, we created a campaign to launch the hospital name. We turned a hospital renaming into a tale of hope: a 3-minute animated film telling the story of a cancer patient that falls into a abyss of fear and is later brought back by the love of those around her. The message is simple but true: fighting cancer is easier when we’re surrounded by love. The animation took ten months to be produced, including a song specially composed and recorded for the piece.Case Summary – Film Craft AnimationPicture a touching story and bring comfort and strength to all who face this disease. In order to fulfill this mission after an exhaustive research of styles we decided that we should follow an aesthetic path very close to what we have in the cinema, for having to portray a fantasy world that we call ethereal world, where our protagonist is lost while the disease succumbs, we opt by the classic aesthetics of 3D animation, a feature that allowed us to visually explore all the metaphors to be shown during the journey of the girl, her passage through time, her encounter with herself ill and all the other moments of animation.
